The first half of 2024 saw a modest pickup in M&A market activity relative to last year, but volume remained lower than in 2021 and 2022. Debt capital markets appear to have fully reopened with aggressive terms.

Oxford’s Leveraged Lending Group continued to execute on opportunities for new and existing clients. In addition to the firm’s historical focus on healthcare services, we expanded our industry coverage to include business services & technology sectors. In the YTD period, the Group closed on ~$600 million in new capital commitments to support leveraged buyouts and debt recapitalizations. New platform investments were made alongside five new private equity relationships as well as with several repeat sponsor clients. May 2024: Oxford acted as the administrative agent in the upsize of an existing senior credit facility to support growth initiatives for an institutional, long-term care pharmacy servicing intellectually and developmentally disabled patients backed by Sheridan Capital Partners.

April 2024: Oxford acted as the administrative agent in the funding of a senior credit facility to refinance debt and support growth initiatives at a practice management platform focused on ophthalmology and optometry backed by Chicago Pacific Founders.

April 2024: Oxford acted as the administrative agent in the funding of a senior credit facility to refinance debt and support growth initiatives for a leading franchisor and provider of mental health services backed by Princeton Equity Group.

April 2024: Oxford acted as the administrative agent in the funding of a senior credit facility to finance the majority recapitalization of a leading third-party administrator and cost containment solutions provider to self-insured employers by Gauge Capital.
